The phrase ‘to take a lover’. Light beams, the sun, a saucy pedantic wretch. Fantasy dinner with Claire Denis. The sounds of an angry person tidying up pots & pans. The dance scene in Beau Travail. The drunk man, who very genuinely told me he loved me, as I walked home at 6am. names of flowers, and how I want to blurt them out.
